Note: Those who heard Annie's radio interview with Dan Matthews may have received the impression that Annie teaches mostly individuals with severe learning challenges. She also teaches business people, those would just like to improve their reading, and students who, for some reason or other, fell behind because they either missed out on something or it was never taught to them. Another point that should be clarified: Action Phonics is set up to address most all learning challenges. Brain Gym® is simply another tool to enhance the Action Phonics program to help achieve even greater success in a shorter time. Here are just a few of the many students Annie has taught: |

Gwen is a 24-year-old seamstress who was taking business classes in school so she could start her own business. As she studied with Annie, she was so amazed at her progress that she would squeal with glee. Another 11 hours took her to college level. 8-year-old Mickey is a very sweet and kind boy. He is autistic and his special ed teacher's biggest complaint was that he stared a lot. He couldn't cross his midline and spoke in very short phrases. He is a very bright boy with good memory, but couldn't access outside information easily. When Mickey did a Brain Gym® exercise called "Brain Buttons", it unlocked his stare. This vestibular activation gets the eyes moving again so the brain has access to external visual information. He now can cross his midline and speaks in full sentences. His speech has improved tremendously. | ||
